Responsibilities:

·              Initiation and issue of the Project HSE Management Plan related to Engineering and Procurement;

·              Facilitation of HSE Reviews and HSE studies and monitoring and verification of implementation of study results in the overall plant design;

·              Keeping the Project/ Construction Management/ Client Team posted on any HSE aspects relevant for safe construction and operation activities developed or observed during engineering/ design;

·              Identify applicable legislation and Project related HSE requirements;

·              In addition to the monitoring of HSE activities / deliverables verifications will be held ensuring that the HSE obligations are met.

Authority Engineering:

·              Obtaining, reviewing, and subsequently submitting, of engineering documents to the Authorities/ Notified Bodies;

·              Advising  Clients on (special) Statutory and Regulatory requirements;

·              Obtaining the required Authority approvals and permits in line with project schedule requirement.

·              Maintaining good contacts with the Authorities/Notified Bodies.

CE-Implementation:

·              Assisting the clients Project Teams with preparation of CE documentation/marking and related Risk analysis for equipment and more complex mechanical installations /assemblies;

·              Evaluation and selection of Notified Bodies for providing services for specific projects, including commercial aspects.

·              Co-ordination with Notified Bodies related to obtaining necessary approvals for piping subject to Notified Body approval;

·              Approval of vendor supplied CE-Certification Documents;

·              Preparation of Certificates as needed.

Assisting the inspection team at the construction site with regard to problems or queries, related to statutory and regulatory requirements.

Staying up-to-date with European as well as National (in particular for Germany, Benelux, UK and Norway) Statutory and Regulatory Requirements, and their impact on the client's business

Qualifications/Experience:

·         Knowledge and Work experience related:

o        Hazard identification and Evaluation techniques (HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID)

o        HSE Management system

o        Laws and Regulations

o        CE-Directives; (PED 97/23/EC, Machine Directive 98/37/EC, ATEX 95/ 137; Etc.); 

·         Minimum 5 years experience in process contracting / services provision / operations

·         Good interpersonal skills

Other Requirements

Mobility required for business trips across Europe and internationally and occasional short term assignments
