Location Solent Duration Permanent Salary £Negotiable Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe role and responsibilities of the Process Engineer shall include but not be limited to the following: - Establish and maintain a full working knowledge of the project scope of work.
- Develop project WBS and OBS in agreement with project management and client and ensure programmes are structured inline with the WBS, standard work codes and in house PEM guidelines.
- Preparation of critical path project programmes at a level of presentation, suitable for conveying an understanding of the project scope, targets and goals.
- Ensuring programmes are specific, comprehensive, understandable and realistic.
- Development of project execution schedules meeting Company and Client quality expectations through the application of the client's corporate procedures and standards and business unit PEM execution level working instructions covering project planning, progress measurement and reporting for specific project assignments.
- Effectively communicate the requirements of the programme to project manager, construction manager, project engineering, lead engineers and procurement manager.
- Ensure company procedures and work instructions are adhered to.
- Ensure all programmed activities are logically linked.
- Ensure activity weightings are compliant with estimate.
- Produce resource histograms for each labour category and identify labour levels required to achieve the programme.
- Monitor and control the actual expenditure to identify labour shortages and productivity ratings.
- Set up and generate progress measurement and quality reporting systems to identify actual progress versus the plan.
- Produce resource and earned value trends.
- Review vendors and construction contractors schedules and resource plans to ensure compliance with the overall project schedule.
- Perform status and progress updates, ensuring progress reported is a true reflection of work achieved.
- Analyse the impact of variations.
- Supervise supporting planning staff, engaged on the project specific duties and delegate responsibilities for areas of work to be undertaken. Actively promote the training and development of junior planning staff.
| | Requirements | Qualifications, Skills & Experience- HNC/HND in a technical / engineering discipline or NVQ in project planning.
- Fully conversant with and competent in project planning software (P3e, P3).
- 5 years experience of project planning across the various phases of project execution.
Other MattersFlexibility required for business trips and occasional short term assignments across Europe and internationally. |
