Roles and Responsibilities:

The role & responsibilities of a Senior Process Engineer may include but not be limited to the following:-

• Preparation and development of process deliverables to a high technical standard whilst providing direction to others in the production of these deliverables.  

 Process Flow Diagrams (including heat and mass balances)
 Equipment Lists
 Equipment Process Data Sheets
 Process Descriptions
 Process Design Criteria
 Engineering Flow Diagrams (P&ID’s)
 Utility Flow Diagrams
 Instrument Process Data
 Relief Dossiers
 Line Lists
 Interlock Descriptions or Matrix
 Operating Manuals
 Engineering calculations

• Is thoroughly familiar with all issues connected with process safety, including design and specification of relief and venting systems.
• Serves as the chairman of HAZOP sessions for small projects when required.
• Is familiar with PEM, all Company Procedures, Departmental Methods, Guidelines and international standards.
• Assists with the preparation of deliverables for submission to authorities in the major jurisdictions served by the client. Co-ordination and control of Process Engineering man-hours
• Gives process input to client's proposals and bids
• Regular reporting to the Lead Engineer or Project Team Leader on all matters affecting technical issues, on status of the process engineering activities and costs
