Roles and Responsibilities:The duties and responsibilities of the Site Construction Manager shall include but not be limited to the following:- The implementation and performance of the Site HSE Plan.
- The implementation of the Construction Execution Plan
- The planning and establishing of the Construction Site temporary facilities
- Scheduling the mobilisation (and subsequent de-mobilisation) of the client's Construction resources
- Provide input to the Bidders List
- Monitoring and participating in the Pre-Qualification / Award / Enquiry Preparation of the Subcontract administration process
- Participating in the Subcontract bid analysis and award process and signatory to the final proposed Subcontractors selection documentation
- Input into the development of the Construction Schedule and progress monitoring procedure
- Monitoring Site Industrial Relations and participating in the I.R. management process when required by I.R. legislation.
- The management and supervision of the construction team including performance appraisals, training development and establishment of personnel performance goals and targets
- The management of the Site Office Administration and documentation
- Managing and participating in the Post-Award Subcontract administration process, including kick-off and Contract meetings
- Monitoring the Engineering Deliverables Schedule and initiating appropriate action to ensure that the construction schedule is not compromised
- The management of the Site Subcontracts department, Document Control, Site Engineering, and Site Support Services, i.e. Site material control, Site procurement, and Site planning and cost control
- The management, co-ordination and performance of all Construction Subcontractors
- The Management and co-ordination of all Vendors representatives on Site
- Managing the implementation of, and compliance with, the Construction Quality Plan
- Managing Construction costs to achieve the approved budget
- Approval of Variation Orders (Site Instructions)
- Managing the progress of the Construction works to achieve the approved programmes and milestones
- Establishing effective communications and dialogue with Head Office, relevant Authorities and Subcontractors
- Initial approval of site personnel expense reports for issue to the Project Manager
- Maintain a Daily Diary and monitor the upkeep of the Construction teams daily logs
- The preparation and issue of the Weekly Site Report and providing input to the Project Monthly Report
- The co-ordination of all Construction and Completion activities to achieve turnover to the Client in accordance with the Prime contract requirements
- The preparation of the Construction Close Out report
| | Requirements | Qualifications & Experience: Preferred Qualifications: - A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or scientific discipline
- A NEBOSH Safety certificate (or equivalent) Specialised courses in Commercial and/or Business and/or Construction Management
- Over 15 years work experience in either Pharmaceutical, Process or Engineering Services, gained in Europe or overseas, and demonstrable knowledge of the management of Construction operations on large and commercially aggressive international Projects.
