Role & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Subcontracts Manager shall include but not be limited to, the following:

• Assists in defining subcontracting strategy and prepares the subcontracts plan.
• Directs and co-ordinates the preparation of subcontract packages.
• Preparation of subcontract bid tabulations, including sensitivity studies. 
• Participation in project planning and scheduling of work related to subcontracts, as well as reviewing detailed plans, schedules and manpower loading submitted by subcontractors. 
• Drafting of contractual conditions and compiling contract documents.
• Reviews claims, recommends conditions of settlement with subcontractor, leads negotiation of claim to settlement and evaluation of subcontractors applications for payment.
• Identifiying schedule and costs problem areas and communicating them to the Project Construction Manager.
• Liaision with home office in developing schedule information relative to engineering documentation and equipment delivery. Ensures regular flow of key schedule and cost information back to proper home office departments. 

Essential Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Construction Management or Construction Economics related subject or qualification in a relevant engineering subject. 
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of Subcontracts/Contracts Management, with an engineering company, construction company or professional organisation working in the construction industry.

Worldwide mobility applies to business trips, short and long term assignments.

This position requires fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German would be valuable.
