Location Zoetermeer Duration Permanent Salary Negotiable Business Development Manager The Business Development Manager to provide business development support for the purpose of identifying and winning key market opportunities, developing market intelligence and developing key client relationships. Responsibilities / Key Result Areas: Translate business strategy into business plan for the region / market. Achieve sales target as set in business plans. Develop business mix of projects with alliances and / or service contracts. Develop strategic relationship with other contractors and suppliers. Maintain and develop long term customer relationship and repeat business. Initiate actions, recommendations and communicate requirements to ensure the best commercial result for the company.
Quality and Safety: Range and Scope of Activities: Preparation of proposals / bids for new work. Development of new business opportunities and business. Provide input to business development plans. Ensure Aker Solutions is well known in the market place and that the perception is in line with the corporate image.
Skills / Knowledge: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with an engineering consultant, contractor operating company or manufacturer in the Petrochemical Engineering, in either a BD, Technology or Project Manager position. At least a 5 year successful track record with service contracts. Develop networks with clients in the local "European" petrochemical industry. Understanding of Commercial and Contractual aspects. Proven skills and / or aptitude in presentation, negotiation and influencing (internal and external). Good communication skills in the Dutch, English and preferably also the German languages.
