Role & Responsibilities:   For the Sulphuric Acid technology area, the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer include:  Support proposal activities. Give technical presentations and authoritative advice to Clients. Process Lead in our projects – overall responsible for planning, organising and executing all Process Engineer activities on the Task Force within budget, on time and with the quality results.  The Process Lead plays a key role in working with our Clients. Execute front-end process engineering work, basic engineering and support detailed engineering activities. Preparation or development of process deliverables to a high technical standard whilst providing direction to others in the production of these deliverables, including: -  Process Flow Diagrams, -  Heat and Material Balance, -  Process Design Basis and Criteria, -  Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), -  Equipment Data, -  Process Instrument Data, -  Relief Dossiers, -  Line Data, -  Safeguarding and Control Descriptions, -  Operating Manuals, -  Process Engineer Calculations and Studies. Provide technical guidance and support at the location of  3rd Party Engineering Contractor. Participate in start-up and commissioning activities. Provide mentorship to younger Engineers.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience Required:  MSc or BSc in Chemical Engineering. 8-10 years experience as Process Engineer of which minimum 5 years relevant experience in the Suphuric Acid process. Good overview of project execution from feasibility study through detail engineering. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. Fluent in the English language; proficiency in the Dutch and German languages would be of added value. Good leadership skills; at least 2 years experience in the Process Lead role. Practical experience on site activities and experience at a 3rd party design centre would be added value.  Personal Qualities:  Assertive, enthusiastic, pro-active, creative and able to motivate others. Good at working independently and as part of a team. Good at developing relations, both internally and externally. Flexible with regards to work tasks. HSE conscious.  Other Matters:  In view of the international character of our business, candidates shall be flexible to perform activities in other countries as required. Worldwide mobility applies to business trips, short and long term assignments. This position requires fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German would be valuable.
