Role & Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for Project Engineers and Project Team.

Management of LSTK / LS (EPC) project with TIC between 80 and 150 mio Euro or PMC project as Program Manager with man-hours between 150,000 and 300,000 man-hours.

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager shall include but not be limited to, the following: 

• Execution of the assigned project to Client satisfaction on or before schedule and within budgeted costs.
• Translates Client  requirements into project / business goals.
• Translates market opportunities into project / business opportunities.
• Prepares, completes and manages high quality project execution plans.
• Pro-actively manages the total project in particular the risks and opportunities in the various areas (people, execution, business, etc.).
• Leads / manages and aligns the various parties (internal and external), which directly or indirectly are involved in the project.
• Manages / meets financial Client targets (costs, profits, TIC, LCC, etc.).
• Ensures that project execution fully complies with contractual commitments.
• Identifies, manages, mitigates / exploits Risks and Opportunities.
• Pro-actively initiates / promotes a business / commercial attitude on the project.
• Is authorised to act on behalf of the client for all aspects of the project.
• Develops, maintains and fosters internal and external relations.
• Actively develops execution and business skills in the organisation as a whole and in individuals.
• Leads medium sized proposals.
• Challenges coming up on a project-personnel, technical, commercial, schedule, etc.
• Day to day decisions in the execution of a project pertaining to engineering / procurement, construction and completion. 

Essential Qualifications and Experience Required: 

• TU, BSc, MSc Technical Discipline.
• VCA.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Minimum experience: 5-10 years in Project Management of LSTK or LS EPC projects.
• Desired experience: 10+ years managing projects in a multi-cultural environment.
• Broad expertise and knowledge of the work processess and functions which make up a total PMC or EPC project.
• Past experience of executing project in the Middle East and or India / China.
• Experience in the field during construction of at least one project.

Other Matters: 

• Worldwide mobility applies to business trips, short and long term assignments.
• Frequent travel required to visit sites, attend Client / Licensor meetings, etc.
• Must be able to manage 200 - 300 mio Euro project, leading a team of 200 - 300 Engineers.
• Must be prepared to work outside of Europe:  China / India / Saudi Arabia, etc.
• This position requires fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German would be valuable.
