Role & Responsibilities:  Discipline Engineer on projects, handling machinery requisitions. If Senior Engineer, can serve as a Lead Engineer or as an Area Lead Engineer on medium or large sized projects. If Senior Engineer, provide a strong technical guidance to others in the department. Provision of technical expertise to project teams to ensure technical adequacy of machinery equipment. As Lead Engineer, controls costs and time within defined budgets and programmes. Prepare and develop deliverables to a high technical standard. Direct other Mechanical Engineers in the production of deliverables and check these deliverables. Visit Manufacturers across Europe and internationally. Liaise with Project Management, Clients, Project Engineering, Procurement and Inspection & Expediting.

Requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:  Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with an engineering consultant, contractor, operating company or manufacturer. Sound knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, packages. For Senior Engineer, must have experience in a leading role and must be able to liaise with Engineers of all disciplines. Knowledge of international codes and standards (i.e. API’s) applicable to machinery equipment. Knowledge of ISO 3001:2000 quality procedures. Familiar with European Machinery. Directive ATEX and Pressure Equipment Directive would be an advantage.  Other Requirements:   Mobility required for business trips across Europe and internationally and occasional short-term assignments. This position requires fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German would be valuable.   Personal Qualities:   Assertive, enthusiastic, pro-active, creative and able to motivate others. Good at working independently and as part of a team. Good at developing relations, both internally and externally. Flexible with regards to work tasks. HSE conscious.
