POSITION DESCRIPTION To provide a reliable and responsive project planning service on assigned projects or proposals. Supervising the development of schedules for all phases of a project, and monitor and report progress. When assigned to a project team the lead schedules engineer will represent and act on behalf of the Manager, Project Control to support an integrated Project Control System. · Prepare Project Master Schedule for Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases. · Prepare logic diagrams in accordance with a Work Breakdown Structure. · Issue detailed activity schedules and expedite the return of schedule updating data. · Monitor progress against schedules, analyse deviations and recommend remedial actions. · Prepare agenda items for schedule review meetings. · Prepare and maintain progress curves for each project phase in accordance with the Project Control Plan. · Co-ordinate document level progress measurement system and operate the performance management system. · Prepare and maintain a requisition tracking system that meets the requirements of the Project Control Plan. · Prepare and make presentations to project teams and clients on schedule control methodologies and procedures used by the company. · Support Sales and Proposals group in the preparation of proposals. · Assist the Chief Schedules Engineer in maintaining schedule related database. · Administration of the Project Control Group and the development of new planning tools and methodologies. REQUIREMENTS · Considerable knowledge and skill in the application of advanced computer orientated scheduling techniques · High degree of computer literacy · Significant experience in scheduling major construction projects, considerable experience in a supervisory capacity. · Significant experience of field assignments. · Relevant engineering degree qualification is desirable, HND/HNC is acceptable.
